Is the free tier really free forever?

Yes. Browser-based transcription using Whisper AI runs entirely in your browser — no servers, no account, no time limit. It will always be free.

What's the difference between browser and cloud?

Browser mode runs the Whisper model locally in your browser — private but slower (1–5 min per file). Cloud mode sends the audio to Deepgram Nova-3 — up to 30× faster, 36+ languages, with speaker detection on Studio.

What happens if I exceed my monthly hours?

Cloud transcription is paused until your hours reset (30 days from subscription start). Browser transcription always works — it's unlimited and doesn't count toward your hours.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from your account page. You keep access until the end of your billing period, then revert to the free tier.

Do you store my audio files?

In browser mode, your files never leave your device. In cloud mode, audio is sent to Deepgram for transcription and is not stored by us or Deepgram after processing.

Is there a free trial for Pro?

We don't currently offer a free trial, but the browser tier gives you a full feel for the editor and export features. Cloud transcription is the only thing behind a paywall.
